Community Board 3 Approves the design for Parks without borders

On Tuesday, May 23, 2017, Community Board 3 Approved the design for Parks WIthout Borders at Seward Park. The next step is approval by the Public Design Commission. It is anticipated that construction will begin in the fall of 2018.

NYC Parks and Global Apparel Retailer UNIQLO announced one of 10 public art grants for Seward Park. Our competition-winning artist is Cheryl Wing-Zi Wong, an artist working at the intersection of art, architecture, and performance. She received her BA in Art and Italian at U.C. Berkeley and earned her Master of Architecture from Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation. She is a co-founding partner of spatial design practice Studio C+C.  Her project is called "Constellation." It will be in Library Plaza for one year.

Join us for "March of the Penguins" in the park Tuesday August 15
